Google Inc sues owner of google.hu

[HU]
Without no doubts the most valuable domain name in the world is Google, today. The search service is very frequently used in Hungary too, and most of the surfers were clicked on the www.google.hu link to access the localized service. But this URL has lead to another service called Kurzor, a much simplier search engine. Because of missing registred trade mark of Google in Hungary, the very valueble domain was registred by some Hungarian companies, latst owner the Hirek Media kft.

The Council of Hungarian Internet Providers (CHIP) modified the ownership of the domain according to the ongoing trial, on 7th July 2006. The domain transfer was done before the legal judgment stated, to prevent further illegal domain usurpation. After a couple of days the URL will point to the Hungarian service of Google Inc.

It is also interesting that the CHIP refused to modify the www.google.hu registration. The owner of this domain is a German private persone who was warned to hand over the ownership of the domain to the american company.
