Vodafone introduces postcard service on Yourmode portal
Czech telco Vodafone has launched Yourmode portal, a website that provides practical information, entertainment, and a postcard service that allows customers to send customized postcards via the Czech post.
To send a postcard with Yourmode's postcard service, customers take pictures and send them to the portal with the addressee's contact information and some text. The Czech post will then make a colour printout of the postcard and mail it to the address. This service costs CZK 30.
'Customers who are spending their holidays somewhere by the sea can easily send an MMS from their mobile phones and their friends and family back home will receive an original, personalised postcard,' says Bernd Scheed, Vodafone CR marketing director for customer relations.
The portal also contains comic strips, games, public transportation schedules, and some light erotica. The portal and its features are accessible via mobile and the internet.
